    accurate .22lr ammo..

What brand .22lr is very accurate. I usually buy the bulk remington or federal ammo from walmart but I would like try something with a little more accuracy. I prefer jacketed ammo. What do you guys recommend?

What are you shooting it for a match or just plinking?

Remington subsonics. They are my "go to" round of choice when testing accuracy from any 22LR.
Of course you can buy the Ely match, federal match, wolf match, etc... but I've had better luck honestly with the the remington subsonics. Honestly, they are what I can afford to shoot frequently anyway.

Wolf match ammunition is suprisingly accurate, it shoots the best out of my 10/22.

CCI green tag. 1070 fps. This stuff is the most accurate 22lr I have ever come across. Only drawback is it's kinda spendy. Stick to subsonic for superior accuracy

+1 on Wolf. Their rimfire ammo is among the most accurate stuff out there, and cheaper than other high-end rimfire ammo. Although it does smell like poo when fired.

Maybe in some guns but, for the most part, most "match grade" or "target" rounds tend to be subsonic or standard velocity rounds. Each indivdual gun will perform differently with each ammo. The only way to find the best ammo for your gun is to experiment. I did this with one of my .22s and was very happy to find that it's favorite ammo was Winchester Super X in standard velocity. I benched about 20 differtent types of ammo one day and this was, by far, the best for my rifle. You will also find that some .22s shoot better clean and some shoot better with a fouled barrel.

Wolf 22 is made in germany if that means anything.

Some 22 guns require only standard velocity, check you manual before buying higher velocity ammo.

Wolf MAtch Target has gotten to be the FGMM of SoCal smallbore shooting. It reasonable accurate in most rifles and won't break the bank as opposed to Ely or Fiocchi.

I only tried about a dozen different bullets. One of my rifles likes Eley EPS. With Remington Golden Bullets it gets 1/8 inch larger groups. Eley is now $14/50 and Remington is $13/550. Each rifle is unique. You'll have to try different ones in your gun for the best results.

Love the smell of Wolf .22! Kinda like that third round through the AR, CLP smells kinda like roses.

i like the cci standard velocity but every .22 likes a diffrent brand, go to the gun store and buy one box of every brand and figure out what works best
