    Cerakote oven help

New to the forums but I appreciate any help i can get.

Built myself a bake oven recently using a stack on box, some Cartridge heaters, a solid state relay, timer and mypin TA 4 pid. Works pretty good but I can't figure out how to set the parameters on the pid. I get it to heat up to 250 degrees but the elements don't turn off. Anyone know how to program these? I can't find instructions that I understand online....

This is similar to how I built my oven http://www.artofthegun.net/how-to/20...in-your-garage

They are pretty easy to program but you have to know exactly which one you have. We use those same type of controllers for our flow control systems in compressed air. Yours should have a quick start up type guide with it. Any pics of the back of the unit where the termals are? All of ours were set up to read a 40/20 ma signal. I didn't read through all of the links you gave so not sure what you have. Ours had the 13 and 14 terminals as the contacts to open and close our valves if yours is the same it should be able to open or close the contact once the temp is reached.

I think I got it running properly. It heats up well and the ssr shuts off but the heating elements stay on. I ordered a new ssr cause it's still pushing current when it should be off. I found a diagram on a meat smoker forum of how to hook it up
