    No sales outside CA

I decided to put the following in all my GunBroker auctions:

No Sales outside of California. If dealers outside California won't ship California legal/compliant items, then I won't ship outside California either. I know I am limiting my market. But once this item leaves California, it can't come back unless purchased by law enforcement. We live and abide by draconian laws here and you dealers outside California are not helping the situation by refusing to ship to us.

Bold only applies for non-roster items.

Good for you, but I think it will fall on deaf ears. We are making progress though. I've personally convinced about 6 people to ship to CA. Most limited to private partys unfortunatly. In time we will see more CA friendly sellers.

I'm seeing a bunch more than I expected--Jim Schuler of Kingdom Arms in NC was more than happy to jump through the hoops needed to get a disassembled PS90 to me, and several of the other dealers I contacted while shopping for that gun were receptive to selling to CA. If I had chosen to do business with them (via price comparisons), it is likely they would have gone through the paperwork.

And remember, there's always Freakshow Mfg. who will happily serve as a middleman FFL transferor.

Some of the evil black rifles I was able to convince out of State sellers to ship directly to my CA FFL:

          SIG 556
          MSAR STG-556
          Romanian PSL
          PTR-91
          WASR 22
          Romanian RPK
15 Saiga rifles for a group buy
Chinese SKS from a dealer (signed up for the CFLC)

It doesn't hurt to ask. I'd say I've been about 50 percent successful.

What frustrates me is sellers not wanting to ship the most benign items into California.

I can understand not wanting to deal with shipping guns to cali but I get pissed when they are selling a stock or something and say no ship to cali

Then there are the moron sheeple private sellers that dont even have to do the CFCL thing, but put in their ad "Due to the new laws, no shipment to Calif". Has to be the most frustrating thing I consistently see on GB...

That's an easy one. Since they're claiming the CFLC is the reason they won't ship, simply informing them that it's not a problem for private sellers/shippers and sending them this link will most likely convince them.

                    And for the C&R uninformed.

The problem isn't out of state dealers. Most of them are as paranoid about the government as a gun owner can get. I don't blame them not wanting to play the CFLC game. The problem is California anti-gun legislation, not gun owners / gun dealers.

I respectfully disagree. The California legislature tries to make firearms more difficult for Californians to buy, and -- in response -- out of state dealers comply by making firearms more difficult for Californians to buy!

In fact, out of state gun dealers ought to pull a Ronnie Barrett and refuse sales and service to CA law enforcement agencies, while at the same time doing all they can to flood us with firearms. Here's the fact:

Anyone who won't sell to CA is saying they'll fight for the 2nd Amendment until it gets annoying, and then they'll go home and leave the fight to someone else. THEY ARE SUNSHINE SOLDIERS AND SUMMER PATRIOTS, AND ARE NO FRIEND OF THE 2ND AMENDMENT.
