I've read some threads on these two (fleabay no longer owns pukepal), but can't seem to reply. something about the thread being 100 days old. so what, I can't find a forum rule on sit. whatever. i copied the text anyway.
Here's what I've come to determine:
If you are buying (or selling for that matter) something that meets their policies (whatever they may be in any particular phase of the moon), there should be zero problems or issues.
However, we all know (or should know) that ammo purchases or sales (or receivers, etc) do not meet their policies, so i will neither buy or sell ammo via pukepal.
ppal payments:
Being discreet is just that, not mentioning anything specific about the item being bought or sold. I just don't like doing that, because the other party can trip you up and then you're hosed.
A ppal "gift" called family and friends by ppal has no fees, IF you pay using cash in your bank account. I won't do that either, because the best recourse you have with a recalcitrant seller is a cc chargeback, and you can't do that with a family & friends ppal payment.
You can send family & friends payments to someone using a cc, but then You have to pay the ppal fees, not the receiver.
Yeah, it's needlessly complicated, and I don't like their policies, but things work smoothly for what they do allow.
fleabay is now separate from ppal and they are no longer demanding that you us ppal to pay. If the seller is properly set up you can use a direct cc payment. This is always the safest method because of the aforementioned recourse.
