FFLs, How often do you get shopped by DOJ?

The past few weeks, I have read some "posts" from Junior Members with zero transactions and very few posts that just don't seem right. The latest is this one: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1135814

It is completely possible this happened, but there's just so much wrong I don't see how it's possible - didn't inspect gun, didn't check serial numbers, no lock, etc. I just can't see an FFL doing this and risking their license for what, $50?

A couple questions:
1. FFLs, how often do you guys get shopped? I know they won't announce it, but is it obvious? and
2. Are there a bunch of trolls on this site trying to catch members suggesting unlawful actions or posting that they have done something illegal?

There are definitely CA DOJ employees perusing these forums.

As far as shopping FFL's, I don't know. I do know that in my years as an automotive tech, CA BAR brought in cars a few times trying to trip us up.

They were not successful.

Some FFL employees just don't care. The owner likely never hears about the fups until the authorities come knocking. Bars serve to underage patrons, and the liquor license can make an FFL cost look like a joke.

Because they work for the current administration, and they are doing everything they can to turn this into an Islamic State... , and gun confiscation is next on their list.

It makes little sense for DOJ to troll Calguns. They can monitor it all they want but it won't do much good.

ATF shops here often. They come in pairs because they need a witness. One pair posed as husband with a truly pregnant "wife".
They will buy a gun and when it gets to answering the questions on the 4473 they will act stupid and ask if they answer some questions wrong if I will still transfer the gun. When I say no they tell me some other shop allows it so why can't I or they will phish and ask me if I know any shop they can go to that will be easier on them with the questions.

I don;t even respond to emails and messages anymore. It used to be fun but now it is annoying. At least they cut down on it a lot since I don;t make it easy for them.

Never give ATF or DOJ free roam to the shop. They are not there to be helpful when they come in pairs. Even when they are alone they are trouble because they will wear a wire or take pictures for building future cases.
