No questions and no ID, but stay in your car or we can come to your house.

Can a civilian/FFL do one of these legally?? I say we set one up in Oakland or San Jose. We could just have a few local FFLs do PPTs. A few of the guns could be auctioned off at the next shoot n q, and the proceeds go to the CGF.

        Could this work?

Does anyone else think this is totally stupid because it give the killers a way to get rid of the evidence? What's more important here? The city could be helping cover up crimes. I'm assuming they don't check the guns to see if they have been used in any crimes. They just destroy them. Wouldn't it be better to work on getting the criminals off the streets rather then the weapons they used and can easily replace?

We need FFL dealers and other buyers down there to make sure no valueable firearms are being distoried.

Only problem I see with this is that you have no idea what kind of person you are buying the gun from. It may be stolen and you are now buying it from random dude. If it turns out stolen during the DROS then you are out the money and the cops will have to chase down the bad guy, who knows if you get the money back. I'm sure there are people stupid enough to try to get away with selling a stolen gun through legitimate channels.

I say that we schedule an FFL to be there that day. I am broke and out of work, but $200 for an "Assault Weapon" sounds like a great deal to me! I will draw on savings to support a "Save the Guns" Buyback Prevention Campaign!

We can beat them and stand outside. . . Give them to us and we will give you up to 25% more!!!
Nothing to see here. . . Move along.

You don't need to pay them more. What is someone going to take - A $200 gift card to Ralphs or $200 cash?

May as well offer a little more just in case they are a do-gooder. Money speaks to people in special ways to people during christmas time.

                              Seriously.

Do I have to be present to initiate a PPT, or can I hire an FFL to act on my behalf and fill my end of paperwork later and then take possession?

Meaning to say can I give an FFL $250 to represent me at the buyout with $1750 in cash to buy any of the guns on my behalf and conduct the PPT later when I can get down to San Diego?
