    witness i.d's perp in gun theft, PD does nada

    but the investigating officer isnt on duty so UCPD is waiting till tomorrow when officer is on duty to continue investigation! pervious resident known by neighbors for 30 years seen leaving back yard the day of burglary.,.,know meth head thought to still live in neighborhood.,.,
    lost all my firearms in a boating accident.

    This is no surprise. If they actually arrest the guy and recover your guns or even one gun, then I would be surprised.

      The cops will probably go talk to the guy to get his story. That will warn him to get rid of any property that he stole from you that might still be in his possesion.

        Not enough to arrest anyway just makes him a person of interest.

          probably not enough for a search warrant either.,.,.,14 guns , 1000 rnds ammo , 1 kevlar vest.,.,.,i see a kid riding down the street on a minibike and three cops detain him for an hour.,.,.,my father was walnut creek PD and a public defender for 25 years..,.,i truly want to believe in the justice system!

                      Did somebody see him carrying that property out of your dwelling?

                        not sure yet.,.,i spoke to the adult duaghter of the witness..,.mom wasnt avail.,.,. that will be the deal breaker.,.,.,was he carrying something.,.,cant believe they want to wait till tomorrow to continue

                            You need to be patient...even if they did arrest them if the detective cannot put the case together and get a filling in 2 days he gets kicked loose anyway. They need to have all the evidence to make it a strong case before they issue an arrest warrant. It can be aggrevating but it's the way the system is set up.
