Reno Gun Show ??

I've never gone to a Reno show and would like to this year. There are two that I know about the "Crossroads of the West (July 29)" and the "Reno Big Show (Aug *)". I noticed that the Crossroads... show is also in San Fran. Now I've been to shows in Kali and have stopped going due to the disappointment. My question is the Crossroads.... show in Reno different than the once in San Fran or other Kali city? Is it worth the trip? I am mostly interested in seeing some tactical gear, bandoleers, and various m14/m1a configurations. Maybe pickup some bulk ammo. Do either of the shows have a decent collection of cutting katana swords?

I went to the last Big Reno Show and it was WELL worth it. I'm not sure how it compares to the crossroads show but if you can, definatly go to the big show. Two giant rooms full of every gun and accessory you can imagine.

Oh: forgot to add that the other show is alot of wheelgun, cowboy, non-tactical, not much military glorified California gunshow that has guns and not just beeniy babies.

I've been to the both the Crossroads in Reno and Big Reno Shows. Crossroads still sucks, no matter where it is. Big Reno is the only show I attend. Save your gas $ and go in August.

Before the hotel changed names, a gun show rate of $79 was available. It doesn't show on the new web site. You might call the reservations number and ask.

Luckily, I got my reservation in before the change. The Big Show site says that previous reservations and rates will be honored.

Call and ask. It can't hurt and the gun show rate might still be available although they might have only had a limited number of room available at that rate.
