Hey guys, maybe this has been asked before but maybe I missed it.

I have a glock 22. If I want to shoot 9mm through it, can I just buy the Glock 17 barrel and magazine? It seems that everything else on this gun is the same as the glock 17

To do it right, you'll need the slide also - as a minimum. IIRC the ejector is also different. I some people that have used the same ejector for both 9mm and .40. The breech face width is a little different on a .40 as compared to the 9mm. Some people might have tried that one, but I haven't...

No, an stock G17 barrel will not work on your model 22 slide because of the gap the 17 will leave-see photo below of correct 9mm barrel on my G35. Get a conversion barrel...if you dare...I say that because reliability will be challenged. But depending on the brand of the conversion barrel. Get the conversion barrel and a G17 magazine and you're good to go.

KKM, Barsto, etc....don't get a Lone Wolf, because they suck. Just my opinion.

You should have posted this in the handguns forum, but to save you some grief I felt compelled to reply.

The answer is No

Only the .357sig barrels are interchangeable with the .40s. You'll need the g17 slide also to use a 17 barrel.

However, you can purchase an aftermarket 9mm conversion barrel for your G22, which you must use with 9mm mags.
