    Fickle-minded buyer

Brand new Sig 1911 is paid off and DROS'd at Turners. 10-day wait is over tomorrow Friday.

...however, now I think I want to get the Wilson Combat 1911 instead at the same store. What are my options at this point since I DROS'd already? Do I just lose $25 for the Sig DROS and pay another $25 DROS fee for the Wilson?

Best to call the store and ask them. I'd bet they say you now own the Sig though.

+1 on that. They might charge you a restocking fee if you cancel the DROS. The best I can think of if they won't let you switch it up is to put the Wilson Combat 1911 on layaway and then DROS it 30 days from Friday. Then you can just sell the Sig during your 30 day "time-out" period between handgun DROS applications.

Unless I'm badly mistaken, you own the Sig.

Calling the shop may be a waste of time, but if you don't ask, you'll never know.

Check out your receipt from Turner's. It lists the restocking fee. What you can do is sell it here or elsewhere, and come with the buyer to pick it up and re-DROS it. You'll take a loss, I expect, given that Turner's prices aren't usually the lowest, but it still might be less of a loss than with their restocking fee, and you'll make someone here happy

I'll give you 75% of what you paid for the the Sig...

Depending, of course, on what you paid for it.

Turner's does have a restocking fee. Not a small amount IIRC.

Checked my Turner's receipt. 25% of the purchase price. That'll be what? Over $250?

I can confim the 25% restocking fee but its only if you do not pass DROS. I guess you could let the 30 days pass and decline to re Dros but I'm sure you will get charged the 25%

I have a gun in 10 day wait at turners currently as well.

Well I am very happy to report that you were all wrong Score one for Turners! All I lost was the $30 DROS fee.

Turners is willing to "switch" products as long as:
a). they haven't officially released the firearm to you
                    AND
b). you are trading "up" to a more expensive firearm

Also, they would cancel the DROS on the 1st gun for you instantly so you can DROS the next gun immediately right there (if you can, of course).
