    My sickness

So I just finished my 7th AR build the other night and it only took a couple hours. I love putting them together, it is a sense of accomplishment and fun.

I obviously have a sickness which is fine with me, should I keep going and just build more or should I branch out to tougher projects. What do you guys think should I start building AKs or something else?

I also reload so that is off the table as something else to do.

Build an AK at least once so you are doing something different.

Otherwise you have to work on the plasma rifle.

Never really understood needing more than a couple AR'S. They are cool but really how many neutered 10 rnd rifles do you need? At gun shows 98% of the stuff is AR related and I just keep on walking by...

Are they different calibers for different purposes? I would try and move on to something more challenging since it seems like you have the AR platform down.

Build another AR, and something more difficult!
            Sorry, not sorry.

One in 7.62, one pistol, others different types of peripherals. I also built an ar10 but that is about the same just more expensive.

Now that sounds like a plan, maybe a 1911 or an AK! Is there anything else to build?, I did see MP's but I think that may be a little beyond my reach right now.
It's just the 1911 kits are so expensive.

No, you're doing great, leave the commie stuff for the commies.

                        Now you're talking my language.

Is it really possible to build a Ma Duece in one's garage?

I think that a 1911 project would be good.

It's one of those things that requires significant effort to do right. The smallest mistakes will lead to a lot of frustration and ruined parts. But there's a book out there by Kunhausen (spelling?) that covers it very well.

It also requires many years to get down perfect, which is why premium builds from premium smiths command premium prices. It's a project that's basically never ending.
