Scope magnification ring?

I have a Leupold VXI 3-9X40 mounted on my Tikka 7MM08 that I use for deer hunting but have noticed that magnification ring is incredibly hard to adjust.
Are there any simple not overly expensive remedies for this?

Don't try to fix it yourself. Believe me I know what I'm talking about from experience. Probably best to contact Leupolds customer service,1-800-LEUPOLD they are incredibly helpful. If you have to send it back, I bet it will be covered under warrantee and won't cost a dime.

you want a Throw lever/cat tail but Im not sure they make it for the VX-I. I know they make it for the VX-II which might work

I had the opposite problem a few months ago. One that was super loose and just moved around.

They fixed it for me. So ok now.

Ya sending it in is probably the best choice but I can imagine they're swamped right now because of hunting season.
I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they have to say.

I have handled several new leupold scopes in the last year. They are all like this, Just get a mgm
