For the first time in my life I received a bonus last Christmas. It was only $500 but much better than nothing. Used it toward Christmas gifts for the kids. I have a new job now and it doesn't look like I'll be getting one again this year.

BTW, I love that movie. Its a Big family tradition to watch it when we all get together.

What's a Christmas Bonus? Never saw that in the Automotive business working as a technician. At the most I got told I had to work Christmas eve, lol
Actually that's not all the way true. One dealer I worked for rented a Costco for the night, had a little dinner for employees and family and then gave us a $200 gift card to Costco and we got to shop there without the public inside after the dinner. It was great.

Before that it's always a really crappy coffee mug or cheap bottle of wine. Never certain what the boss's bonus is, but pretty certain it's a bit more than those generous offerings.

In years past I have gotten very good Christmas bonus (even a Benz one year at another law firm), but this year with all the downsizing I believe my bonus will be that I'm still on the payroll. We'll see

I got an HS 2000 Takedown with two barrels last year, 300 & 375 RUM, with brakes and some accessories. Thought it was OK, looking for something else this year. Good to work for someone who likes guns - and has more of them than me.

I'm very fortunate to run and own my business. I'm giving myself a nice mid- 5 figures (before the decimal) bonus on January 1st. I figure that may be the last bonus I ever get, if Obama has his way and penalizes me for attempting to run a sucessful business.

I'm the only employee for my boss' plumbing co. I do all of the work and last year just before Christmas he says "and don't think you're gonna be getting a Christmas bonus this year, things are a little tight." A week later he dropped off his motorcycle to get a $1500 paint job and went to Hawaii for a month. Still pisses me off a year later, a-hole.
