It's a really good episode that's almost *GASP* biased TOWARDS gun owners.

Seriously, the kid was such a stereo type next to the father and son's wardrobe.

No one needs to be fashion conscious when their in their own homes, but come on, your gonna be on national television, representing millions of Americans and their passion; put on a t-shirt for a month.

Overall, it was a great episode with a good reminder to us all, proper guidance and some fun trigger time changes unexperienced biased minds.

BTW, last night someone posted this episode of Pen and Teller's B*** S**T 2A, its just as good if not better.

The womean, Pia, reminds me of female friend who is very anti-gun. I think she looks at me sometimes as a Confederate flying, slack-jawed redneck (and I'm Asian).

I didn't feel it had any bias at all. If it did have one, it was a bias towards logical thinking.

Well, like most people (including many, if not most, gun owners), she's not used to thinking abstractly, and to consider that other people might have a reason for their opinion. So she needs personal experiences to guide her thinking, and she doesn't even want to think about something that's to her unpleasant to think about.

Also, people come from different sets of basic values. Gun owners generally come from personal responsibility (and thus personal rights), while the anti-gun crowd usually comes from the position of "common good" (as in "someone else must do it for me"). So from their perspective, if the government can restrict something they personally don't care about and it may somehow make things better, they won't overanalyze it and just vote yes on it. Just think of how you (or if not you, many people you know who are conservative) think about gay rights. And please, I'm not looking for a debate about gay rights and how they're different from the right to keep and bear arms. Yes, both are different, I merely used gay rights to illustrate a point.

To this woman's credit, she was willing to try and see the issue through the opposing side's eyes, even if she only went there to educate the rednecks. To people like her, nothing else would work to begin with, because they need personal experiences to evaluate things, which, as I said, describes the majority of the population. So agreeing to acquire a personal experience, she basically agreed to consider the other side's arguments.

Overall, nice show. The above mentioned scene, however, was one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen, hands down.
