Get an AR15. Fits the whole role your missing. .308 is cool if you have money to feed it. AR parts are so cheap right. PSA has complete kits minus lower for under $400.

Yeah was lookin at the ammo... I don't have the ability to get into re-loading right now and 308 looks like it'll get pricey quick for as much rifle shooting as I'd like to be doing.

I also suggest an EBR such as an AR15 or AK. You might also be interested in a .22lr like a Ruger 10/22 or a Sig 522. A scoped bolt gun in something like 308 would also be something different.

Get an AK simply because they always work and get an AR because you wanna hit stuff with it and buy extra uppers for it.

As for handguns, you need a 1911 and a CZ75

OP, I will make your shopping list to get you on the right path.

Drive down to RIFLEGEAR and bring your credit card.

You're going to buy a complete AR Lower. (Or something similar). These are ready to go by adding an Upper from several sources that you can order over the Internet. The lower has the serial number and is the foundation of the AR Platform.

While you're looking it over tell the salesman you want 3 of these, stripped lowers.

Now for under $500 you have the basics covered to build 4 AR Rifles. Later when you get home order an UPPER to complete the complete lower. Usually around $400 or so.

Stuff those 3 stripped lowers in the safe for future builds.
