Hey guys
if I buy a gun in Nor Cal and I cant pick it up can my bro in law pick it up for me or do I have to actually pick it up? The thing is one of his buddies up there is a FFL. the guy told me my old gun had some problems so he took it in on trade and was/is selling me another rifle.( sort of thought that was funny him telling me the barrel was shot out but the gun was still accurate as hell but Even if I looked at the barrel I woudnt know if it was shot out or not so I trusted the guy since my bro in law trusts him. Only thing that pizzes me off is I called the guy 5-6 times to get him to give me a complete total cost of the rifle Tax DEROS and rifle so i can pay him. I feel like the guy just shafted me) I havent done the paperwork but I will be going up there deer hunting next year so I was gonna do the paperwork there and borrow one of my BIL rifles. But I wont be there for the full 10 days. So even if I do the paperwork on the first day can my bro in law pick up the gun or do I actually have to be there to pick it up? USUALLY I buy my guns local so I dont have any experience with non local buys. if I have it shipped and possibly have to pay another FFL out here to receive the gun it may not be worth it simply due to the amount. By the time Im done im gonna spend way more than the rifle is worth IMO
