Why Do Democrats Get Away With Lying About Guns?

The Fourth Estate has a responsibility to correct Democrats' wild exaggerations and untruths about guns. Yet they rarely do.

This article, shockingly, appeared at the very top of my Yahoo news feed. It's a decent article I think, even if it doesn't do a very good job of answering the question posed by the title.

I don't, however, think it was a good idea to counter a common liberal lie with another lie (or at least, stretching the truth):

But in California ... An adult must submit a Personal Firearms Eligibility Check applicationmust have that application notarizedcan take up to 120 days for the state to get back to you.
He intentionally makes it sound like everyone has to go through the above process to buy any firearm in California, even though he knows dang well that's not true, and that kind of irks me since it goes against everything he's trying to accuse the dems of doing.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Because the MSLM is on their side and allows them to get away with it.

Precisely. If the Republicans can lie about an entire WAR, why shouldn't the Dems get in on it.

People have a tendency to believe what already agrees with their point of view, and question only what doesn't. It's natural for liberal minded, ant-2A types to take whatever con-gun information is printed/broadcast without question, just as it is natural for pro-gun types to investigate and verify or rebuff it. The big problem in recent years is that much of the news media seems to side with the liberal anti-2A types already. These "news" agencies are happy to spread what agrees with their views, while ignoring what doesn't. The result is that the arguments that would rebuff the BS that they spread never get heard by the mainstream of society.

The anti's own the rhetoric. There's not enough money in the pro-gun side to influence the media and the conversation. There's no anti-Bloomberg.

Also, the crusade against guns is just that - a crusade with religious fervor. There's nowhere near the organization and passion on our side, in spite of some very good effort.

As I have said a million times, the art of duping the sheeple comes in realizing people will believe whatever lie they WANT TO HEAR. Prime example: the Dubya administration was able to sell the BIg Lie about how Saddam Hussein and Iraq were "allies" with Osama Bin laden despite the fact that Bin Laden released a tape stating that Hussein was an infidel and calling for Iraqis to rise up and overthrow his regime.

At that time the Bozo Public wanted somebody to blame for 9/11 and it made them happy that we had invaded and killed the guy who did it.... except it was a lie. So lying is certainly not just a "democrat" thing.

                            Sadly, that's true.

I think the best thing every pro-2a person can do is to introduce at least two anti-2a or 2a-neutral people to safe firearm use and ownership at some point in their lives.

It's really amazing how many anti-2a people I know who really only feel that way because the media has scared them so much that they've never even tried holding a firearm. Every time I can convince one anti or 2a-neutral person to punch some holes in paper with me, and I see their face light up with joy, I feel like I've done my part. It's like a switch gets flipped in their brain and says "Hey wait a minute, maybe these things aren't really just for criminals afterall". Not to mention, if you go to an established range, or a local gun store, it allows them to see for themselves that the vast majority of gun enthusiasts are normal, nice, responsible people. Gangbangers don't shop at Bass Pro, nor do they pay $15 to shoot clays.

I read the first part of the article. It opens with a lie about Carly Fiorina. She didn't have a bad choice of words. She flat out lied and/or made something up. It was pretty blatant.
