Far and in between FFLs Alquist Arms
Had to make a thread to give Alquist Arms located in Turlock a 
for their great customer service. I drove from San Jose (Approximately 3 hour round trip TWICE due to the stupid 10 day wait) to DROS/Pick-up a Springfield TRP Full Rail.
Alquist Arms is one of the few FFL's that I have dealt with that have great customer service, tons of gear, firearms, and knowledgeable staff that may accommodate new and old gun owners. I have heard of them before during SSE from the central valley/Stockton folks but the drive always deterred me from giving them a visit. Boy, did I miss out on an opportunity and now that opportunity has arrived I can't give them more credit than they deserve.
The firearm I've been searching for is the SA TRP Full Rail. A member here mentioned that Alquist had two in stock on their online website. I decided to call and see if they did layaway over the phone or if it had to be in store. A gentlemen answered my questions and assured me that I may put the handgun on layaway over the phone. I waited a few minutes as he passed the phone to a co-worker who then took payment for the gun. Great! I then called a few weeks later to see if it was possible to DROS with half down and pay in full upon pick-up. This time, a lady let me know it is possible so I made the trip a couple weeks ago.
The same lady helped me when I came to DROS with my son in tow. Patient the workers were while my son was ecstatic about being in a gun store (this is a 3 year old we're talking about) talking louder than any other customer in the shop. Calmly and productive she went through the necessary paperwork with ease (QUICK about 10 minutes of our time).
Now, came the day to pick up. I arrived at the shop, same ordeal with son in my arms sleeping this time. I waited patiently while two workers were helping customers with questions. They do have a numbered ticket dispensing machine when you first arrive (kinda like Turners). It lays out reasons to pull a number and wait to be called. In my case, I did not have to pull a number as I was there to pick-up. The same lady who helped me weeks before just had came back from lunch I presume. She called out two numbers before I decided to ask if I may be assisted. She answers, "are you here for pick-up?" Why YES oh YES! The TRP was closer to becoming MINE. All in all, everything is a breeze there, hardly any FUD, Stocked with various types of long guns, handguns, gear, holsters, Hornady reloading equiptment, powder, and some other things I may be missing.
I do apologize for the long read but there are very few FFLs in my neck of the woods besides MPA and Metal dog tactical that I would vouch for. Alquist Arms deserves to be mentioned. Here are the pictures of what I picked up
Also, It came with 3 mags instead of 2. Am I missing something here?
