    ARs at Big 5???

Not sure if this has been discussed yet but I saw two 5.56 AR-15s (a DPMS and a Wyndham) at a Big 5 today. In Alameda County, nonetheless!!!! When did they get back into the semiauto market?

Just to be clear, I wasn't gun shopping there; I needed shoes and a jock strap. TMI??

Our local Big 5 never stopped stocking them, they just moved them to the back room and out of public view for a year or so. They would bring them out for anyone who asked and were happy to make a sale.

I was told in the Concord store that they were not selling them due to corporate policy. No black rifles.

Big 5 in AZ has them, but the staff is clueless when it comes to their gun counter. I have bought ammo there, but I think I would skip them when it comes to a gun purchase.

Not that I would ever buy any gun from Big 5, but props to them for actually selling them. With all the shootings happening recently I believe it is a good thing that guns are on display and being sold at any store.

Big 5 has had mini-14's for awhile.

I still would not buy a gun from Big5. They are a retail store that happens to sell firearms. They treat you like a criminal during the purchase and they make it unnecessarily awkward.

There are some exceptions, every once in awhile they have a good gun guy at the gun counter, but those are exceptions.

Big 5 had .22lr when no one else did and 10rnd Marlin 795 mags when all you could get was seven round mags on line. Joshua Tree store. I've never been in the local store here in Big Bear since I know you can't finger the trigger.
