    Going to a Gunshow - which 9mm?

My 45 acp handgun collection has gotten way ahead of my 9mm collection. So, I'm planning to get another 9mm this weekend at the gunshow.

My small 9mm collection only has
    1) Beretta 92FS
    2) Ruger LC9s

My top choice is a Beretta M9A1 with a rail. Same gun as I already have and I can use the same magazines, but adding a rail for my lasers.

I'm strongly considering a Glock 17, just because it's so widely popular as maybe the top handgun in America... and it will have a rail.

Third choice is a Springfield XDm 9mm just because I really love my 45 XDm.

Any other ideas? Not looking for unbacked personal bias, but back-up your comments with why a different choice is better than those.

Only interested in full size with a rail. Thanks.

Now that I think about it, I've got a Walther PPQ 22LR and I've heard the PPQ 9mm is good, so I'd probably add that one to my list to right away.

I have both the M9A1 and the gen 3 G17. And I love both. I voted for G17.

You already have a Beretta which you'll always enjoy shooting (I sure do). But I think everyone should have a Glock. Also, the Glock is more up-gradable than the Beretta.

I really wish I could put fiber optic or nite sights on my M9A1. That's where the Glock comes in.

Both are winners, but I'd go Glock.

If your roster exempt, or can find one ppt, I really like my P320.

I shoot a 92FS and XD9's. I agree with DDM though, everyone should own a Glock. Or an XD. (Both?)

Really? A sig 22 is 22LR as far as I can tell.
1911s are usually 45acp unless you get a conversion kit and rails are harder to come by on 1911s too.

He said Sig 22..... (fill in the blank!) Sig two twenty somethings are not .22lrs.

Both Kimber and Springfield make production 1911s in 9mm. No conversion kit required. I suggest you do some actual research before you choke on your foot again.

The whole need for a rail or the want to use a laser is something that I will never understand. I don't want to rely on a battery operated anything when I'm shooting a handgun. But, to each their own. I know it's the modern tacticool thing to do. I'm just not a Gecko45 wannabe.

Which one of those Sig is the best one? Is there any particular feature that stands out most above other brands?

I didn't really think about getting a 1911 9mm before. I have 3 1911s in 45acp and I also have a Ruger 22/45 which has a handle shaped like the 1911. So, I guess if I got a 9mm 1911, then I'd have the same 1911 handle form factor available for all my semi-auto handgun calibers. I did a quick search and they have a Kimber Custom TLE 9mm 1911 with a rail. That would be similar to my Kimber 45 1911.

Which ever one fits your hand the best. All are build similar but are different size and weight. Your going to have to decide for yourself. Go to a local shop and hold them. Go to your local range and take the pepsi challenge.
