    CWS Updated...

Wondering what the update is with CWS since the fallout of July 2010? Here's a tiny scoop...

Hector and Valerie opened up FFLs that replaced the ones we held. Their Federal Firearms Licenses in both Texas and California were REVOKED by the ATF. Hector was picked up in April 2015 and charged with 16 felonies, which stemmed from 2013. He had an $800,000 bond, which was later reduced to $400,000. Many of you still saw him in his Highland, California shop, maybe even with our son as well, and at the gun shows through part of 2014 too.

This past July, Hector's sister, Veronica (who works for the DA's office) took the stand in our civil court divorce hearing and told the court that Hector gave his father, sister and nephew our firearms and assets, but could not give a number or estimate. I find this very interesting because thousands are still missing (or sold). If anyone would like to help me by providing receipts, I would appreciate it. Paying ATF for thousands of pages of documents would be too expensive for me.
We are divorced now, but all the financials are still going through California court system.
Yesterday, October 6th, Hector took a plea deal from 16 felonies down to one felony. (This information is located on SB Open Access records).

The information regarding Valerie's FFL with the Federal ATF was in Texas. The case docs are in .pdf format which doesn't copy well and cannot be attached. Hector and Valerie played cat and mouse games with the ATF and lied to them several times. Evidence was brought to court and nothing could change the outcome of their revocation.

    ---
Me? I have worked for Gallery of Guns in Arizona, for over a year, six long days a week. Then worked at Quantico Tactical in Oceanside, for seven days a week at first, later reduced to six days and finally five days about a year into that position. I have owned my own small gun shop, called Black Ops Gear Inc which deals in special orders and .308 parts, as well as transfers since 2013.

In addition to continuing Black Ops Gear I am now starting an entirely new way of protecting families and loved ones --- completely licensed through the State of California - selling life insurance. I am happy to be working with a company that does something no other life insurance company does in the United States. If you are interested in a quote, let me know and I will set up an appointment with you. It takes approximately an hour to review your needs and complete the documents required to ensure your children and families are provided, in their times of need. It's never to late to ask and never too late to start one. It's one less thing you need to worry about for years!

My new business number is 949-534-2288.

As always, I thank God, my friends and family, and my wonderful customers for all these years, for knowing and believing in me and trusting me to ensure your lives are safe and secure, be it with firearms and now with insurance for generations to come.

PS - Hector hasn't paid child support in years, so if anyone has access to a deadbeat dad website, by all means, you have my blessing to add him. That goes for military retirement, alimony and financial assets as well which have not been equally distributed 50/50.

I was following the case and I'm disappointed everything was dismissed but 1 felony, when is he being sentenced? Do you have specifics on the charges?

My wife and I got burned by him at the highland store in 2008 or 2009. It's what made me get my FFL originally.

I will say he and Valerie burnt a lot of people but still maintained their business. Hector will say he didn't own the business, and didn't sell anyone firearms. Would you say the same and agree with that statement?

I know just what is online...and that he was sentenced on Tuesday to five years probation. No time served except for what he served (which was a month or so). I bet every felon wishes he could have it so good. See what money and a good attorney can arrive at? 16 felonies down to one and five years probation. Hector can pay for his attorney, and his bondsman received $40,000.00, I'm guessing (10%), but not a penny for child support nearly this entire time.

We paid for 2 guns and never received them, tried to contest it on the credit card but it was too late because we were strung along for over 6 months. They were simple guns, nothing special. So no, I do not agree with that statement and I know we were not the only ones. We still hear from customers today that were burned back then.

Sad about the child support and I guess his attorney was worth his weight in gold.

              That's the truth!

There are those who filed in Texas and California to obtain their funds or guns back. Hector has said several times (to me) that everyone got their money or guns back. In fact, the 75,000.00 Valerie gave him (Monopoly money, I think) to ensure everyone (including the distributors) got their guns, or refunds, or paid appropriately. He said it on the stand --- therefore it must be true - No?

Originally Cold War Shooters (who, believe me, I got burnt along with the rest, a thousand-fold) and then all the copies...Clear Water Sports, Country Wide Shooters, ...

And you weren't the only one to enter into the FFL arena in the aftermath...

Was it Hector? Must have been his girlfriend, his sister, his father, his brother, because he has never sold guns. He doesn't own any and never removed hundreds out of our home in front of our then, 18 year old daughter. It is all a figment of our imagination. He has never burnt anyone-or so he has said.

He sold me some stripped lowers at the Ontario gun show many moons ago. He most certainly can't honestly say he's "never" sold a gun.

I wouldn't say it because it isn't true.

Got your receipt, perhaps even completed by Hector as well? Although he helped customers, wrote up receipts (I believe), accepted funds, ran the shop, ran the gun shows, he did all it all out of the kindness of his heart and never received a cent for it or a paycheck for working.

I have a question - Does everyone that works at gun shows and gun shops do it for fun and not for money?

I liked when he would gloat to customers about his gouging, serves him right. Deadbeat dads suck, especially when they have the means to at least pay partially and choose not to. One of the stupidest posts I've ever seen is when someone claimed CWS opened in CA as a favor to us.

The shop sucked and something about the gun show setups at the end just screamed scam or fly by night to me.

Sorry, I haven't followed this story, but based on the charges listed, did Hector do anything that created an actual victim? I don't see any wrong doing here.

I agree with you about the unconstitutional gun laws but regardless they do exist whether we like them or not. This fellow did scam a lot of people though but their don't seem to be any charges related to that.
