    Need info on steel target.

It had no tags and the sales manager didn't even know what is was. They ended up pricing it at 12.99. I thought the price was good so I got it. My question is, is this only good for 22 it can I use it with handguns?

Can't tell. Unknown material, unknown thickness.

Go shoot it with a 9mm. If it craters then it's for .22

For $13 shoot the piss out of it. If it gets a hole in it from what ever your shooting so what. I bet the first time you paper punch a steel target you will have a big smile

Looks pretty damn thick. I wouldn't think twice about hitting that with pistol. Just make sure it's a safe distance

Shoot it, then check out the metal. Dimples are not just aesthetic problem - they signal that the metal is not strong enough for your intended purpose and, much more importantly, they result in wild bullet splatter and ricochets.

Do some research on steel targets used for competition. They talk a lot about what type of bullet works best and pitfalls of using substandard metal.

I agree, that will be fun at a safe distance. Nice score!

If the steel is 1/4" thick it's probably only good for .22. You can shoot it with centerfire pistol, but don't expect the target to last.
