Anybody ever powder coat their guns in flat black, or any other colors? I see them do a lot of parts and rims on OC Choppers, and they said it's as strong as steel. Pro's? Cons?

We have various items powder coated on our ships, one thing I notice is if the surface is even fairly smooth, once the powder coating chips it has a tendency to peel off in large pieces. Also when it chips rust can get under the coating.
