once fired brass how much?

I've been collecting brass...thinking about re-loading in the future. But at the moment i have a bunch which takes up space. If i wanna get rid of 'em about how much do they go for? per empty casing?

5.56x45 (federal xm193) = $XX.XX?

.45 ACP (WWB) = $XX.XX?

5.7x28mm (FN SS197SR) = $XX.XX?

i dunno how much i have maybe two milk crate full. not sure?

how about by weight? anyone know what 1K of empty 5.56x45mm weigh?

the 5.56 goes for $60-$70 per thousand the .45acp should be in the same range I don't know about the 5.7x28 but its less common so maybe more.

A trick I've used when trying to inventory mass quantities of small items is to place 1 piece at a time on the scale and count them out until the scale has started to register weight (it will probably read a single case as 0), then add a bit more. Write down the figure, and then add the rest of the shells and do the math from there. There may be some variance in the end, but you can disclose that when you sell the brass.

You can also rent special counting scales, but it wouldn't really be worth it for $60 of brass.

With that said, it would be interesting to see what a recycler would give you for the brass vs folks buying them to reload.

Some times you can catch a deal and find both cheaper.

maybe 20-25 cents. Its not real common so might be worth more.

i think u gotta a good idea...unfortunately i'm lazy...ahahaha. Well i have a bag filled with 5.56 and .45ACP. Weighs about 30lbs...sure feels like it...anyhow...$50-100 ok? or too much? i gotta another bag too...maybe 10lbs worth.

now i just gotta find someone who'd wana buy it. Anyone?
