    whats the chance of finding....

A leveraction rifle and revolver in 38/357 under $900/$1000?

    Looking at rossi and ruger.

Or should i go in .22?

    Henry and heritage arms?

.22lr gets lame to plink quick. Scoped .22lr is fun but iron sights get old. I'd much rather shoot .38/.357 or 44mag.

Seems like that would be very doable with Rossi.

There's at least one in the classifieds right now I think.

another new cheap 38 special to consider is the Rock Island armory close copy of a Colt detective. it's made in the Philippines and it's not an exact clone. it's a steal frame so it's not lightweight but it does hold 6 rounds. I think they go for around $300.

Someoneeasy - last time I checked the EAA Windicator was not on the roster. I wish it was.

I have the Rossi M-92 in .44 mag and load up some mid-range loads that are hotter than .44 SPL but not full-blown .44 mag loads, using .44 mag cases. It is a lot of fun, though iron sights get more difficult to use as I get older. One of those in .38/.357 would be a good match with a Ruger or Uberti in the same chambering.

Very likely. In fact, I sold my Winchester in 357 for a lot less than your price range. New ones are within your price range, too.

Very doable especially in the used market. I'm eyeballing a Uberti 357 lever right now for $600 and just got a Blackhawk for $350.
