I'm a college student in my mid-20s; I've grown up around guns, I've bought a number of firearms and enjoy owning them, utilizing them, handling them, etc. So when I learned that I had to give an 'informative speech' for a class of mine, I decided that I would create a presentation around the process of buying a gun in CA. Especially since I had a bit of trouble understanding all the rules for how to buy handguns/guns in general in CA when I first got started (2nd proof of residence, there's a 10 day wait?, etc.). Of the 9 people I asked whether they were interested or not in buying a firearm, 7 said yes, and none really knew much beyond "I think there's a background check or something?", so it looks like I could at least help a few people out.
I understand the process itself at this point, thankfully. But, I need "sources" to cite what I already know. I plan on using the Penal Code, the DOJ FAQ page, and maybe the 4473 Form, but I'm supposed to come up with a few more. Does anyone have any ideas as to what else I could cite as a source?
