    9mm od glock

Hey guys this might have been touched on but couldnt find it in a search. Im going to be purchasing a new glock here so i googled "california compliant handguns" which brought me to this site http://certguns.doj.ca.gov/safeguns_resp.asp
on there i saw Glock 26 OD / Steel, Polymer Pistol 3.46" 9mm 1/1/2016 im assuming this is the od color version. Is this something i can still buy not being law enforcement?
    thanks

If it's on the roster, yes.

Yes you can buy it - you just have to find one. They come out occasionally, it is not a regular production item. There is one distributor who commissions them once a year or every other year and they sell out very fast.

You might have luck finding one on Gunbroker - since it is on the roster it can be imported, but you will pay a premium in shipping and transfer fees on top of the OD premium. keep in mind that only GEN 3 Glocks made in Austria are on the roster.

Here is a G26 OD for sale, you can buy it now for $550 - and you could take off the goofy laser and maybe sell it. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...=506257345#PIC

Or you can do what I did, for $35 I had my Gen 3 G22 cerakoted Magpul OD Green using the heat cured process. I don't like the color of the Glock OD green that much anyhow. I bought this gun LNIB for $315

Sweet looking firearm. But why does everyone post pics of their Glock's with the trigger pulled to the rear? Who gives two ****s if it is loaded, unloaded w/out a depressed trigger, etc? Not trying to derail the thread (G26 owner), but trying to convey "hey look at me, I take pictures of my "safe" gun" drives me nuts.

No one is trying hard to prove anything. I have fifteen Glocks, most of them are not loaded or cocked except for the ones I carry. Pardon me for simply taking it out of the safe and snapping a pic.

This is how every single Glock looks like if it is not charged - unless someone manually and awkwardly resets the trigger forward - mall ninja photo-op style. You would have to make a conscious effort to NOT take a photo like this, not the other way around.

The trigger only resets forward if the gun is cocked or you push it forward. Are you suggesting that everyone should cock their Glock before taking a picture, or manually push the trigger forward, so you don't have to see the trigger in the normal at-rest position?

I get it though: OCD - it's a helluva thing

OP - a G26 OD just showed up in the marketplace for $700, area code 209. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1113710

That gives you an idea of the premium these might fetch, and makes a Cerakote job on a used Glock look pretty attractive.

This is where I go, he does awesome work and looks like it is only $30 for the frame now. He has done two of my pistols and I am taking more soon. You have to do your own disassemble / reassemble, which is my preference anyhow. So you bring him a stripped frame, which is super easy with a Glock - 60 seconds to detail strip and 60 seconds to assemble again.

Thanks guys... you just made me feel really stupid for buying a black g19, now that I know I could've gotten OD.

The wife is going to hate it when I end up bringing home the same damn gun in OD...

You don't know much about Glocks then.

Weird, all of my Glocks are loaded...all the time. Hence the trigger is where it is supposed to be. Go face palm yourself.
