How often do you clean your snake?

Your bore snake! How often do you clean your bore snake? Do you have a special method to clean it?

Its best to put your snake in a plastic container. That way you won't have to clean it as often.

Throw those dirty snakes out and buy a new one. I guess if you're a cheap azz like myself, you could let it soak in hot water with a little dishwashing soap. Rinse well and your GTG.

Put it in a sock and toss int he machine. I wouldn't put it in dryer though.

The front end of my two are a bit dark, but the back end is still clean so it drags out crud (if any).

I use the boresnakes when I did not shoot a lot of rounds.
Patches used after sometimes show a little darkness.

In before the boresnake haters.

Zip tie it together to keep it from getting all tangled and twisted, and throw it in a pair of old Carhartt back pocket
