    NFA Range in CO?

Not sure what forum to post this in or if CGN is even a good forum to be asking this. With that being said:

Will be going to CO somewhat soon. Is there a good range out there that allows rental of NFA items to the public anywhere in the Denver, Boulder, or Fort Collins area? Additionally, would they rent to a person visiting by themselves (I'm arriving before well before everyone else) w/o a gun or would that be a no-go like many ranges here (insurance purposes and to deter suicides).

Or at the very least, if CGN just isn't the right forum to get this info does anyone have another one they'd recommend?

I'm sorry I can't answer the first part, but I can add some info on the second part. When I've rented NFA items in Nevada, I've never had my own firearm at the range with me. I was there strictly to shoot their NFA items, any personal arms I had with me on the trip were in the car. As owner or RP of the NFA item, they are required by law to maintain control of the weapon. What that means is they will rent it to you, but they will be standing right there behind you the entire time you are firing it, unlike a normal rental where they hand it over and you walk into the range with it.
I asked about it and that's how it was explained to me. Was the same procedures at several different ranges over the years.

That area of Colorado is very liberal. You might think you're still stuck in California. I don't have any info, but I would be surprised if there were NFA rentals there.

You might have better luck in Colorado Springs.

^ when you say that area, are you referring to the entirety of the denver area?

on a different note, it looks like ill need to ask on another forum for more answers.

          Lakewood, CO: http://machineguntours.com/

There is a machine gun shoot in CO Springs once or twice a year but can't remember what it is called.
