    I think you answered your own question. You can not use a a listed lower. That is where the term OLL (Off List Lower) comes from. Welcome to the forum.

      Are you saying that you have an "American Spirit ASA" and listed is "American Spirit USA"?

      If so then technically I guess you would be ok but there are many quality lowers out there that would not be confused with one listed so I think it would be in your best interest not to take the chance. Too close for comfort IMHO.

        That would look like a typo on the flowchart. It should be;
        American Spirit
        ASA model

        edit: thats wierd, the CA AWGuide lists it as ASA model, but CCR 5499 has it listed as USA model. Looks to be a typo somewhere, so unless I knew for sure what was correct, I'd stay away from both ASA and USA mdoels.

        Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

          Since "American Spirit: USA Model" is listed, I wouldn't chance it with one that closely resembling a listed one. It's the same reason why I generally don't buy Rock River Arms lowers even though they have a few models that are not on the list anyways. Personally, I'd stay away from that lower and get one that is clearly not on the list.

            thank you so much for the responses.

            i really assumed it was a typo. i used to have an asa15 and the banned list showed a usa model, but the atty general list showed the asa model, i wasnt sure if the atty general paper was a proposal or an off law doc. thanks again one more, on the list they dont show an old mfg SGW xm 15a1...sn:zxxxx per oly arms page dates to Z000 to Z2002 09/08/1983 08/24/1984, any thoughts? i did a search here didnt see it, thank for your input, after looking at closer pics it also says olympic arms oly washi... but i didnt see THAT one on the flow chart

              Post Brand New Oly/SGW preban AR15 receiver
              I bought a Oly/SGW preban lower a while back and sent it to Oly to be crushed and had a new one issued. I had the original SGW stop sign logo put back on it. It is a brand new Anodized Forged lower with all the renforcement updates. The serial number is Z9***. The lower is stripped and never had a part put in it. Want to pursue some other projects. Will sell for $800 shipped to your FFL. This plus a $400/$500/$600 complete kit and you have yourself a brand new unfired Preban AR15 or your config.
