sig brace at the range still?

I was at the outdoor range the other day and the guy next to me was shouldering his ar pistol with the sig brace. The ro's walking by did not even mind. Do you guys still see people shouldering these braces?

I never did/do shoulder it. I have 2 - 1 on a 7.5" and 1 on a 10" - and make sure I don't shoulder fire. I have videos of being dead accurate at 75+ yards on 10" steel plates and recoil is just not enough for me to "need" to shoulder fire (.223 55gr for example). Some people... they just don't care about the risk - to much risk for me and easy enough to not shoulder.

I don't see people do it but I don't go to ranges all that often. User beware, they have said their opinion.

Are you sure it wasn't a fraction of an inch away from his shoulder?

Yeah pretty much. And ATF is the dad threatening to turn the car around.

I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't do well in prison. I have a pistol but just a pistol buffer tube, no Sig brace, long enough for a vertical foregrip so that's all the stabilization I need. The ATF has clearly stated in their response to their original judgment of the Sig brace that they now consider it plausible to be considered a shoulder-fired weapon, which means they'll view it as a SBR, and if you don't have your NFA tax stamp...

I would never do it in public. Not even at the range, especially if there was even just one person in addition to myself.

My pistol definitely looks like a SBR more than ever. While it is completely legal, we really don't want to mess around, do we.
Now on the other hand, cheek weld is totally doable.

ETA: I know for certain that there are some ranges here in California who don't mind about shouldering AR15 pistols and won't report the shooter. Still...

Just a bureaucracy scared of loosing the revenue, and those are the worst kinds. Not worth the risk, especially in California where it was never legal to shoulder fire your "pistol".

                      ^^nice blaster BTW^^

Nice setup, I wouldn't shoulder one either. I have some AK pistols and I was going to put braces on them, but I waited to see what would happen and sure enough the ATF went full-retard over shouldering them.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

Would love to, but no NFA in California I'm told.
