Anyone not own a 22lr firearm?

As the title says, I sold off my last 22lr rifle a few ago in anticipation of building a target 10/22. Now I'm thinking of just building another AR. Still got thousands of 22lr but almost as much .223/5.56.

Just wondering if anyone got rid of their 22lr guns or just doesn't find them as interesting to shoot anymore?

I never go to the range without a .22. The centerfires are more about the "big boom" experience and a bit of SD training. 22LR is about the pure skills of shooting. Typical range day for me is about 180-200 rds of .22 and 50 rds of a centerfire.

        Pretty much this.

I warm up with a .22, go over to 9mm or .38/.357, cool down with some more .22.

I'd think about selling a couple of the .22s (maybe), but not all.

My experience is that the best shooters have a lot of 22LRs. And most of them are very good ones (think European).

Don't own one, don't want one. To me, they're toys, not tools. I would never defend my home with one, take game with one, or compete in an event that involves shooting one. So why by one?

Ya, I guess I'm the "odd man out" again. I don't own any 22LR firearms.

.22s are some of the funnest guns I own. I don't see how any serious shooter would not find .22s interesting and/or fun.

However, some of us with lots of .22s aren't the "best shooters".

I bought one (AMT lightning 25/22) and told myself that I wouldn't every buy another one.

I now own the AMT, two identical Marlin Model 60s, and am looking at a 10/22 takedown.

                  Does that answer your question

I have three left but two of those are gifted to my nephew and the other hasn't been shot in about 25 years. I'm pretty much over 22's

Nope. I wanted one but got a 9mm. Don't want the headaches of trying to find and buy overpriced ammo due to hoarders.

I don't own a .22LR. I want to at least get a 10/22 but have held off, mainly due to the ammo availability issues.

I own a few, however I find them a bit on the boring side for me. I mainly keep them around for newbies to shoot. I'm thinking someday I'll give them to all 4 of the grand-nieces when they get old enough.
