Gun paper for school

I was assigned an essay in English today and was able to pick from a list of topics. I saw gun control/issues and immediately knew I had to have that one. When the instructor sat down with me and started talking to me about it she asked me the infamous question of "Why does anyone NEED an AK-47?" and I answered accordingly and explained that just cause it looks scary doesnt mean it is blah blah blah and even began explaining the CA law to her about how to legally own one also told her that there are other controversial weapons, one of which I own myself. And then she blew me away, she told me that that was just a question to see my standpoint on the issue and that in fact her husband is a gun nut and they own SEVERAL CA legal OLL's and AK's!

I also get to talk about that poll that was in another thread on here about college students/professors CCW.

This is the only essay I've ever been excited to start

Disarming citizens is the first step towards oppression. Remember to point that out

Why anyone needs an AK-47 isn't the issue. Just remember that the 1st Ten Ammendments were written down as rights of the people that could not be taken away by the government. That's why they're called the Bill of Rights.

Good luck on your paper, glad to see our youth representing our side of this issue.

Also, ask your teacher if she's a member of the NRA.

My freshmen year in college I wrote a paper on gun control for an english class. I had to argue for and against it. My professor came off as a little anti gun but I still got an A on the paper. Wow I wish I knew about calguns back then, it would have made the research sooooo much easier.

Ill point that out I'm allowed to add whatever I want into it as long as it stays on topic. Also, doesnt matter if I stay pro-gun the entire time
