Am I the only one who just uses regular leather belts from Wally World? What is the "advantage" of a ccw specific belt? I am probably wrong, but it just seems like another money sink...

Carry belts are sturdier to ensure the holster stays in the same position regardless of your activity and the gun doesn't print differently throughout the day because of this shift. They also keep holster in place during drawing so you can have more retention and still draw without pulling up your pants.

If your shirt covers your belt like I wear mine and don't mind the somewhat tactical look then look into Volund Gearworks Atlas G Hook Belt. Loved it so much I actually switched to the Cobra Belt Buckle version haven't seen anyone scream look at him being all taciticool. Like the later version more now since it's easier to and faster to get it undone and buckled up.

They come in 1.5 inch scuba webbing and can made in just about any color.

I've been wearing one daily for over a year and love it. Will last a life time and is adjustable is you gain or lose weight main reason I bought it.

Was hoping CA would finally get rid of good cause guess it will never see a concealed carry piece on it.

I have a Comp-Tac as well as a Hank's Amish belt and the Comp-Tac is far and away the better gun belt.

If you can roll your belt as tight as the ones displayed in the first link...pass. Very inadequate for a gun belt. I didn't believe a gun belt was worth the investment initially, but a GOOD gun belt makes it a pleasure to carry.

I got mine from the beltman at thebeltman.net about 8 years ago. Costs a little more, but definitely worth it.

I am needing a new belt so I figured getting a belt that could be used for concealed carry would be good.

I do not dress in a "tactical" sense, so I'm not wanting a 1.75" unicorn hide reinforced super belt.

I am wanting to spend about $50'ish or so.

Premium dress belts from Allen Edmunds or Johnston and Murphy will give decades of service.
They are however more expensive than the target price you wanted,but on the other hand they do last and look good.

Ares Gear - best CCW belt I have ever worn.

The regular is incredibly stiff and is very comfortable for all day wear. Does not look at all like a gun belt - this is my favorite feature!

The buckles are solid and look good with almost anything.

They are not cheap, but 'buy once, cry once'.

I just switched over to a Core Essentials X2 gun belt from a 5.11 leather gun belt. Night and day difference. I didn't have to pull my pants up all day even while carrying a full sized pistol on my hip. Every 15 minutes when I had a 5.11.

Very happy with them so far. Definitely going to carry these in the store.
