    Gun storage off site ?

I've heard horror stories about guns that get stored in public places and they get stolen. Does anyone know if there's an FFL that allows gun storage and you pay a monthly fee to them?

From some of the threads here, it appears there are many FFLs who will store your guns for a fee, but only for guns you buy or PPT through them.

Honestly though, I highly doubt you'll find an FFL who will store your guns, but your best bet is to call all the LGS you can find and ask. I just think legally and financially it wouldn't make sense for a gun store to offer this considering the cost of safes and floor space they take up.

The best solution is to store them at a friendly location in a locked container that only you have access to, or sell them, or put a safe/lock them up in public storage, or maybe put on consignment for an outrageous sum at your LGS...

I have stored some ammunition and firearms for years in a storage facility and had 0 problems. But.....you live in California and it is a state with 10,000 times the crime that my state has. If you do store in a public storage facility keep this in mind, you can not let people see what you are storing not anyone no matter who you can not trust them to be as honest as you are. Even if they are trust worthy you have to assume that they might slip up and mention it to someone some where at some time and so it goes. As I said I use a public storage facility but I also move the stuff around to other locations that are in other names. So now that I have said this here in a public forum that LEO's read I will be moving some of my things to a entirely different location in another state, starting today.HTH

Most FFL's don't have room to store others firearms, square footage comes at a premium these days.

According to this post, Ambrose Armory in Escondido does. Not sure how convenient that is for you though.
