Duracoat application question

So What happens if I just mix duracoat hardener with reducer and NO PAINT? will it just be clear gloss? Or does it need to mix with something in the Duracoat paint to cure?

It is a two part paint, you need both the paint and hardener, the hardener will not work as a clear coat by itself, nor will it have much UV protection. My guess is that it also would end up brittle.
