Pictures from 1000 yard range - Bisley England

My bud sent me these pics a while back from his shooting trip at Bisley just outside of Londonistan, it would seem the NRA u.k. is alive and kicking to some extent. He owns several rifles pictured such as a Blaser 308 and a TRG 22 and an Enfield.

LARGER PICS BELOW PLEASE SCROLL DOWN. THIS IS THE 1000 YARD RANGE AT OLD ARMY BASE, BISLEY.

do they have to leave their long guns locked up at the club or can they bring them home? I believe all ammo has to be accounted for. Can someone verify that?

Sorry about the size of the pics im currently fixing this problem and will re-post or add to this one, i know my friend makes his own ammo and i know he keeps his rifles at home in the north of England, not at the club. thats as most as i know at this time. let me try and fix these pics so you can see them.

Does anyone know if you can own and shoot 50 BMG in England.

At SHOT '08, I was fortunate to meet and sped some time with three representitives of a shop in the UK. They brought over a couple of NEMISES 50s and had them on display at the FCSA booth. The last day, they took one out to a range to let a few of us shoot it. I bet that's the same range they shoot 50s on.

Im not sure but it could be the only range in England you can shoot at, my bud lives in northern England, this range is a 4 hour drive from him maybe even longer. I shall email him later to ask were else one can shoot.
I believe this was a competition shoot that was held at Bisley.

Note in one picture hes shooting an EnField without a scope, im wondering how it is possible he could even see the target let alone hit it at that distance.

I might be confusing myself with a range in Switzerland but, I THINK that the people I met are allowed to shoot their 50s on some military range too.

Thar's very interesting... no benchs? And that range on the far left. It looks like a pistol range but it's pretty far in front of the 1000 yrd firing line. And I'm guessing that those are 100 yrd pits on the right. Very nice thanks for the picture

1,000 yards with an Enfield? Sounds like wishful thinking. Any pictures of their results?

I haven't shot 1k yards since I shot it at Camp Bullis in 73 with my Garand NM.

Will try and get some target pics with discriptions but it may take a while., can an Enfield even hit a target at a 1000 yards at least with any effect.
