I'm thinking of making a shooting table, & would very much like to see what other CGner's are using, thanks.

I used these plans. It is a sturdy bench. http://www.guncustomizing.com/shootingbench.htm

I modified the bench top so that both left and right handed shooters can use it (I am left handed). I also deviated from the plans, instead of using angled wood to splay the legs, I cut some couplings at an angle so the legs angle outwards.

^^^this....I.ve seen this design at the range before, guy said his grandpa made it a long time ago, & they're still using it.

That 1st one, for sighting in, looks nice and light, but also kind of flimsy. Is it really steady enough when you're shooting?

Ive got one that is the same design, all I did was add a piece of 1/2 inch plywood to the top to make the benchtop bigger. It is stable, I use mine in soft sand and once I put my weight on it it is solid

You guys are ballers.

I run this $19 fold up table from Walmart or Big 5, and use my range bag to prop up my gun when sighting it in.

Fits easily into my trunk and it's multi-purpose

I currently use the WM table, it's kind of a hassle w/all the bags an such.

Thanks wipkiller for the link, it did show some stuff, but looks like you also had few posts in your thread. (sorry about that)

I'm just thinking they're are few who use such a devise anymore.

I guess I'll just brake out some cardboard an start the design from there, did get a few tips though, so thanks.

I'm mostly thinking about building two, so Grandson an I can have a little competition, shooting at same time, should add more interest to the situation, ya think ?
