I'm thinking of buying a Springfield M1A but was wondering what is a comprable rifle before I make the plunge?

if you get an m1a try to find an earlier one with GI parts. the newer ones are ok but the machining on the receivers is rougher IMHO. LRB is a great choice but way beyond my paygrade!
