You guys aren't seeing the big picture here. You see, the slugs just put some little holes in the paper, but the birdshot blew the whole shelf right off it's supports.

I would not want to be shot with a 12 guage loaded with feathers, but if I have to chose between bird, buck, or slug to get shot with, I am going with bird every time.

I was shooting heads of cabbage off of sticks a while back. The bird shot would knock off some leaves and put holes in the cabbage. The buck shot would destroy the cabbage, but the slugs would disentigrate the cabbge. The cabbage would explode in about a 10 foot circle, and only little bits were left.

Birdshot is very effective on large animals at, oh, 2 yards or less. Ask Mr. Cheney how effective it is at 20 yards or more.
