    .45 Bushmaster

Just saw an Bushmaster ad for their new .45 Bushmaster AR. Can't seem to find any info on their website. Does anyone have more info?

This is what I could find so far. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=28&t=151306

Interesting. It appears to be another big bore AR as opposed to a pistol caliber AR. I guess Bushmaster didn't want to try and license one of the existing big bore calibers out there (.458 SOCOM, .50 Beowulf, etc.)

A quick google search turns up another "speculation" thread with not much more info:

Hmmmm a 45 cal bullet in an extended case to fit in a GI30rd mag. The case must have some kind of taper to it then like the socom. Might be a nice round to use becasue we can get very nice JHP ammo for it just about anywhere and I'll bet with the larger case we can push a 230gr bullet to 2000fps. Now thats a hard hitting round.
