I did it again 3rd/4th time in a month!!!

Well I did another impulse buy but this time it was 2 guns not 1. They are USED guns from a dealer which that process is totally F'ed up if u ask me but anyways. The first gun which I was totally digging is a Colt " 357 MODEL " anyone got any info on this particular model?? It's a 1957 build from what colt said off the serial number. But that's all the info they would share without paying 75 bucks. It's a 6 inch model, nice medium frame and a sorta heavy barrel but not today's market heavy. Good mechanics seems like ugly over sized grip that looks homemade. The trigger and hammer looks polished like how they polish bolt action rifles. Blueing is ok nothing wrong with it as far as I can see. The trigger is lite and I like that about it. Smooth double action. I'm almost positive it's had custom action work. Plans are to clean it up and regrip it and shoot it hopefully. Any help with this things please don't hesitate to share info. Also any guess on value?? Mechanically it seem all good. So I'd say a solid 90% if not better considering its age.
Second I got a S&W k38 or atleast that's what the sales receipt says. Solid condition also. Looks to have the original S&W grips with the medallion. Has some weird standings on the bottom of the barrel and on the cyclinder it has "ENGLAND" stamped on it. Blueing is ok also no crazy wear or anything like that. If rate this gun at a solid 90% if not better because it's still wearing it's original grips. Any help with this would help also thanks. Range on the value to see if I didn't lose money on these things would help.
Just so everyone knows I'm by know means an expert on these things I'm just a " joe smo " that liked these guns at first sight so I bought them. No plans to flip these or resell at all just liked them enough to drop cash on them. I'm sure all this would also be easier if I had pics but i totally had a brain fart and it an hour drive from me about to go back and take pics.
1 last thing in my grading I honestly know these are better than 90% each but I grade extra hard I think because it can't be worst than my grading but it's possible to be better always. Thanks again!!!

Need pics to help more. The S&W sort of sounds like a Victory model in 38 S&W that was converted to 38 special.

I've seen that 357 model it is hard to search for info because the name is so generic. You can try Colt forum.
