I see this happen frequently. I had one shipment valued at $4500 fail to get initially scanned at the hub but it did arrive at it's intended destination after a week. Be patient.Comment

If the package is in a long haul part of its journey it might not get scanned for several days. When a package is on the train from Chicago to Richmond, California for instance, it won't be scanned for 2 or 3 business days sometimes. No, I don't think I'll ever get over Macho Grande.Comment

I thought that firearms had to be shipped overnight. . .

Handguns have to be shipped overnight if the shipper is a non FFL. For FFL to FFL we can use the two day air service (cheaper).Comment

I think that only handguns need to be shipped second day air to prevent internal theft.'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

I know exactly where you're coming from man. Not with a gun though, but still. I had two packages sent out recently, one got to San Pablo on the 23rd, the other got to San Pablo on the 24th. The one that got there first, is still there. I got the other package yesterday. Called up UPS and complained, and apparently someone "put it down somewhere wrong" so it's in limbo atm. Wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't the power cord for the package that got delivered yesterday

UPS is notorious for stealing items.
I had a 19" monitor coming to me and was working @ home the day it was supposed to arrive. I check the door @ 2:30pm - nothing, but their website was updated to state that the driver left the package @ 1:50pm - door was open and I was home, but the website said "driver left package under a pot".
What the hell kind of pot would you leave on top of a 19" LCD monitor?

I had almost the exact problem yesterday.anyone ever have ups not update where your shippment is? i am having a firearm shipped to my ffl last week and its supposed to show up tomorrow but the last update was last friday and have not seen any new info on the tracking log ... did they just not update cause usually its scanned every location it goes to .. i sure hope it show up tomorrow so i can start the dros
I ordered my lift kit for my 4runner from 2 seperate sources and the tires from another about 5 weeks ago.
The tires showed up within a week. 2 weeks later the rear lift components and front diff spacers arrived; all I was waiting on now was the front coilovers from sway away. The company I ordered them said it should take about 2 weeks. 3 weeks later I call for an eta and he says it looks like they're on their way to him. 4 weeks later I call for another eta and he says it looks like they're still on their way to him and he will ship them on thursday.
By now I've been looking over my tires and rear lift components for weeks, and I'm dying to put them on and do some wheeling.
The coilovers finally ship and scheduled for delivery yesterday, the 26th.
I figure I'll call them and have them hold onto them at the depot so I can go down and pick them up early and head over to the shop to install everything.
UPS tells me they cannot tell the depot to hold them until the tracking page shows they are there.
So, they sit in San Pablo from 11am on monday to 1am on Wednesday. Wednesday morning I get up at 4am to check the tracking at it says there still en route to santa cruz. 6am I get up again, still en route. 8am I get up and check and it shows they arrived at 3:30 am and went on the truck at 5:30 am. Oh well. I'm back to work after Thanks giving so It'll be Monday before I get to do the install.
So yeah, there is some delay in UPS's tracking system. While they were in San Pablo I called them and they said sometimes stuff doesnt get departure scanned.sigpicComment

And those are just internal policies of UPS and FEDEx. I have large shipments of handguns that go Yellow Freight, and take freaking forever..Comment
