Dros at a Big 5

Hey guys and gals,

I'm looking to buy a Wasr-22, PPT. The seller would like to perform the transaction at a Big 5 due to its proximity to his location.

My question:
Has anyone had negative experiences drosing a Wasr-22 at any Big 5 locations?

I've searched, but have not come up with any specific stories relating to the Wasr-22's.

I was under the impression that Big 5 doesn't do PPTs and are not required to because they do not sell handguns. That's what I've heard at least..

that would be "they aren't required to do handgun PPTs since they don't sell handguns. AFAIK, they would be required to do a longgun PPT.

I have done PPTs at Big 5 (Ruger 10/22). They have an 11 day wait, as oppsed to 10. 35 bux, but dont know how they feel about evil looking rifles or OLLs.

Well, I guess I'll find out soon enough.

The seller has already contacted the Big5 location and has stated the gun counter person has given us the green light. He emphasized to the Big5 rep. this dros will be for a AK variant 22lr, and the gun counter person made no objections.

I'm aware of Big5's 11 day wait policy, but I'm not in a hurry.

Update:

The dros went through fine and I've picked up my PPT'd Wasr-22. 11 days after the start of the dros of course.

The Brea (Orange County) location Big 5 gun counter gal was very nice and cordial.
