First Polymer gun, any solvents to avoid?

I dont want to fog the plastics or make them brittle... only owned wood/steel guns.

So... brands to avoid? brands recommended?

    Thanks

They make a gunscrubber specifically for polymer pistols so avoid the normal gunscrubber, but on the whole I avoid it anyways(smells to bad.)

gun scrubber to avoid.it generally turns it white.i use break free on everything
He says don't use Gun Scrubber or any harsh chemical based stuff that will affect polymer. It will turn white.

BTW kimbercarry's space bar does not work. He uses "." intead of space bar.
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.

I use mineral oil to make the black shine on my Ruger. It's organic and harmless to plastic and wood.

If his spacebar doesn't work, why did he just use 12 spaces?

No. It just takes care of the surface oxidation. I just wipe it down with mineral oil on a cloth, then wipe off the excess with a dry cloth.

Kokopelli, I have two Glock 22's that I run dry on the surface, I have not

seen any oxidation on the surface.

Is this only found on the Rugers? This is the first time hearing of this

Mineral oil on mine restored that "factory showroom" look. Kinda like what armor all does for tires. Perhaps "oxidation" was a poor word to use to explain my point that the finish on mine looked a little dull and the organic mineral oil made it look nice.
