    What to buy next...

Are you tired of seeing these threads yet? I am. But I'm posting one anyways

I'm not filthy rich, but I've set aside enough money to buy one bucket-list gun. I already have guns that fill every purpose, my next one is just for fun.

    1) FN Scar 17 .308 (~$3k)
    2) Beretta 92FS Brigadier Inox (~$900)
    3) Bren Ten (~3k)

    Which would you pick?

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

IMHO skip the Bren 10, parts and magazines are nearly non-existent.
Beretta is pretty mundane and the SCAR, while very cool will be California neutered.
For $3k get a real heirloom gun like a Python or a Wilson Combat CQB
Both are handgun artistry and will retain value over the years.
      That said--
it's your money. Have fun with whatever you choose.

I voted bacon cuz I have no interest in any of the guns on your list.

When it comes to decisions like this, I like the advice to flip a coin. That's because, when the coin's in the air, you'll find yourself wanting it to go one way over the other, and that's your answer.
I meant, it is my opinion that...

Bacon is the clear answer here.

I voted bacon cuz I'm still unemployed and I can get it for free with my EBT card.

Even when bacon is not an option, the answer is always bacon!

And I've always liked the scar, but can't afford it.

              Good luck!
              Sorry, not sorry.

Buy the FN SCAR, kill some hogs with it, and you'll have lots of bacon. Win-win I call it.

how about a S&W Model 41? you'd have a great target/range gun for the rest of your life, and one that would instantly become a treasured family heirloom.

The people have spoken, and the answer by an overwhelming majority is BACON!!

Good advice. The Bren Ten wouldn't be a shooter (or at least, hardly ever) so as long as the one I bought was all-original matching serials and working condition, and has even just 1 magazine, I'd be happy. I just find them historically fascinating, especially as a 10mm nut. The Beretta would be used far more, possibly even added to CCW - yes they exist by the millions, but they're one of the best-looking pistols for the money in my opinion, and all my pistols currently are purely utilitarian, none are particularly attractive. The SCAR, even while CA neutered, is still really cool. NV isn't a long drive for me, so as long as it's easy to un-neuter/re-neuter I can always make a day trip to have some extra fun with it. I'll take a look at your other suggestions a bit more before I make a final choice! Unfortunately, after this next purchase, it'll probably be a long time before I can buy something else (unless I choose the Beretta), so I want to pick something that I can be really proud of.

Fritzkatt, I would agree with the G19 suggestion if I didn't already own a bunch of Glocks, but I'm looking for something a bit higher end to round out my collection.

BSG, cool idea about the S&W 41, if I go the Beretta route then I could afford both.

Get the SCAR then put enough rounds thru it to cook bacon from the barrel....problem solved.
