    TargetScan Android App Kickstarter

    Hi All,

(quick introduction as it's my first post - i'm an Australian who moved to CA almost a year ago and a proud owner of a Sig Sauer P226)

Since i've started shooting several months back i've really enjoyed target shooting and will (one of these days) start going to comps.

With that in mind I was/am looking for an app that could help with scoring and found seemingly the best/most accurate app was TargetScan (www.targetshootingapp.com) - however unfortunately this was only for iOS [i'm on Android]

I just received an email from the developer today about a kickstarter campaign @ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...pp-for-android
for an Android version and I have chipped in some dollars/pounds to help make it happen.

I want to assure everyone that I am in NO way associated with the app/developer/kickstarter in any way, shape or form and while I can understand people may be skeptical of this being a first post - I can assure you that while I lurk here a bit I sincerely haven't found anything worth posting (until now) and that's the only reason you haven't heard from/of me haha.

blah blah blah - In short, I like the look of the app and I thought this would be a good way to get it to a decent sized audience who might find something like this appealing and might like to chip in and make it happen.

    All the best, Adam

    Two things:
Your link shows the app available on iTunes and Google Play right now.

It'd better be the MOST amazing app ever for 11 bucks.

@jaymz - thanks for the reply

re: #1 Not sure it's the same app, can you send me a link to which one you're referring to? (in the Google Play store)
ed: The link on the front page of targetshootingapp.com links to straight to the kickstarter campaign.. (is this the one you're referring to?)

re: #2 @ $11, based on the feedback and the use case - I see it as a bargain. Each to their own I guess

I noticed that too but when you click on Google play it takes you to the kickstarter page.

Another $10 gun app for testing...

New account... Wondering if it's the same guy pushing the last app by his brother under a new alias.

Why is a first post used to ask for money?

              No, it is not.

Of course - if that doesn't suit then I am happy to agree to disagree with you.

To clarify - I wasn't asking for anything - I linked to a Kickstarter campaign and indicated that I thought others might be interested in it as it was a useful tool ... or not.

At not point did I coerce/ask/request/expect you (or anyone else for the matter) to handover money. I made not commitments or promises to the potential quality or even future delivery of the product - I only indicated that there is a real product out there (for iOS) made by the same developer that provides me with some assurance that this person(s) could make a similar app for Android.

Now i'll admit the reasons were (partly) selfish ...... if the campaign is funded then I get a copy of the app (yes, I made a $ commitment before posting it here) which is great. OOTH - if it's not funded I don't get a copy of the app and it costs me nothing.

                Nothing more, nothing less.

                Adam

p.s - All said and done - really impressed by the welcoming messages from people who I can only guess assume the worst in people
(and yes ... that is my Australian sarcasm coming through loud and clear for those who were interested haha)
