Gun shop that will assemble upper?

I need help mounting the gas block and installing the barrel onto a stripped upper receiver. I have watched videos online, but see that I don't have the proper tools to do it correctly. The one place I emailed told me it would be $150 ... I could buy the tools and do it myself for that much.

Is there anyone in Los Angeles area that would do it for say, $50-$70?

Unless you'll build a few or more, don't buy the tools. Go see Randall in Van Nuys.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

Yea randall should be in your area.

But $50+ is way too muh.

Rifle gear only charges $25 or $35. It's not that hard, especially if you have the right tools it should take a matter of minutes.

If you make an appointment, he'll let you watch him do it and you'll be out of there in half an hour. He assembled bmy 260 Rem upper for my LR308.

Go to.Randall. its like live YouTube. And he will answer your questions. If your barrel needs to be threaded, do it at the same time.http://www.ar15barrels.com/services.shtml
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

My guy charges me 35+tax. He's built 2 so far for me. Great guy. Anything above 50$ is a rip off.

Okay, that sounds about right. I figured maybe $50-$60 at most, and he actually quoted me $175...absurd.

I haven't bought the barrel, gas block, or gas tube yet.
I was going to get a daniel defense 12.5 in barr and DD gas block. The video I watched online installing a DD gas block looked pretty simple.

My advice is buy the tools and do it urself. U learn alot. I know i did. I drilled and pinned the gas block all by myself for my very first ar assembly/build.
                          Good luck though.

If I already had I vice I would, but I don't. I'd rather spend $35 having someone build it over a ****ty vice.

Totally agreed and respected. In my case, its more of personal pride. I built a freaking workbench, installed the vice and everything else ..myself.
