Looking for a 380 pocket gun

Not many choices in California, but what is your opinion on the kahr P380? I think I would like the smith and Wesson bodyguard 380 semi auto but they are very hard to find for sale in my area.

I have a Kahr CW380, pretty much same as the P380. I carried it in my jeans pocket all time, until I got a LCP. I only switched to the LCP because its lighter, Kahr has better sights and trigger, and is easier to shoot.

I've sold three Kahr P380CAs. The only complaints I've heard are about the spring being very stiff but the break-in (~200 rounds) seems to take care of some of that.

One buyer said it didn't like the reloads he was trying to use but it did just fine with factory ammo.

The Ruger lc380 is almost the same size as the shield. I would be ok with a Ruger LCP 380

I own a non-roster Sig P238 and I highly recommend the gun. It is operated similar to a 1911. I used to own a Ruger LCP, which is an extremely small and lightweight pistol. I highly recommend it if you can get over the relatively terrible trigger and almost non-existent sights. I sold it because its size and weight make it pretty hard to shoot accurately without a lot of continual practice, which I wasn't willing to invest in at the time. The P238 is easy to shoot on target with a normal amount of practice and comes with excellent 3 dot combat style night sights. There is an on roster CA version of the P238 as well, but it is hard to find. The LCP is only off roster, but they come up fairly frequently for sale here.

Lc380ca is a bit big for pocket gun, huge next to lcp... Kahr p380 I've heard can be a little picky on ammo but if you find what it likes they run great. Db380 is small but some have reliability issues. I had a good one that would shoot anything. Sig 238 very cool and reliable, bodyguard supposedly has terrible trigger but I've never shot one (great size tho and the trigger can be learned). g42 is my favorite 380 but also big for pocket carry. Seems the manufacturers that are pushing the size aspect of the guns make them quirky by trying to shrink them so far.

I've got a Sig p238 in jail right now.

Most of the reading/research I've done say excellent gun.

There are two on the CA roster, TSS and HD. The HD is heavier.

I had no problems finding either in stock in northern CA.

I've owned several small 380's, and although it's a little big for a pocket gun,
the G42 is the best shooter of the lot.

I have had a Bodygaurd, Kel-Tec, AMT, and Kahr. I kept the AMT. Its all stainless steel which makes it not terrible to shoot. I had a long time ago a Seecamp .32 and it was very nice.
I got rid of the Kel-tec .380 for a Kel-tec 9mm, super awesome gun, nice trigger for what it is and fits in the pocket nicely.
