What do you mean by "preban"? The only thing you can't get is a listed by name assault weapon.

(2)check to see if its not listed as an aw.
(3)make sure its in cali compliant configuration.

I was under the impression that once an assault weapon, always an assault weapon. And you cant buy an assault weapon in california. Of course putting an OLL in place of the registered AW lower would allow you to buy it like a normal rifle and of course make it much less deadly
